Second Verse Same as the First!

Fox and the Hounds and their biggest fans.
Congratulations to the winning team (from left to right): Todd Fox, Bill Akers, Corey Miller and Kevin Dodd.
Following the script from last year's championship game,
the 2011 title game came down to the wire. Both the Fox and the Hounds and 4 Lokos came in undefeated in pool play. In a seesaw, back and forth
exciting game, Fox and the Hounds showed once again, they are the Top
Dogs! As the intense, defensive game wore on, fatigue (or nerves) seemed to be creeping in as missed opportunities at the free throw line cost both teams
their chance to either ice the game or draw closer. With his team down
by two, 13-11, to a more than formidable 4 Lokos Team, Todd Fox found
himself with the ball all alone from behind the arc, and he nailed the shot to tie the
game. A few minutes later, Corey Miller ended the suspense, when,
after a team mate found him unguarded behind the arc, Miller calmly
took the pass, palmed the ball like a grapefruit and hit the high
arching, game winning shot that gave the 2nd Annual St. Therese March
Madness crown to the Fox and The Hounds. Could there be a three-peat in the works?

A Note of Thanks!
On behalf of the 2nd Annual St. Therese 3 0n 3 Basketball Tournament
committee, we want to express our sincere appreciation for all who played and
to their friends and families who cheered on their favorite team(s). In addition, we sincerely appreciate the efforts of the kids who spent the day keeping scores of the games or cooking and serving food and drinks to a bunch of sweaty old men. Without their help, this event could not have been what is was. So, thank you to Zach Elling, Cole Elling, Tyler Ast, Hannah Ast, Morgan Storm, Nathan Storm and Sara Carroll.
A big thank you to the administration of St. Therese for their support in allowing us to put this tournament together.
Lastly, thank you to our crack team of officials, errr, excuse me...court monitors, Jeff Szala and Mike Woollen. Also to Jeff Ast for his help running the clock They did a great job of keeping the games clean, fun and on time.
We
hope to see all of you again next year for the 3rd Annual St. Therese 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament!
